Education is a key component of membership in the WHTA, and it is offered in two different ways. The first is the traditional 60-75 minute presentation on a timely topic in Telecommunications, IT or another related area. This would typically be delivered by a vendor or a member of the organization. We offer several of these presentations at each conference. The second method is continuing education delivered via classroom instruction (2 or more hours) covering a much broader topic, such as "Data Communications" or "Computer Telephony Integration." These classes are presented by a variety of individuals chosen for their expertise in the particular area of discussion. They are intended to provide our members with basic and/or advanced knowledge of the chosen topic in an effort to improve their understanding and make them more valuable in the field. We offer these sessions as often as is practical.
